I think I should give up on trying to render the whole figure in a3 hour pose. I just don’t think it’s practical… I should just choose an area and shoot to get that rendered.
More of those Carbothello pencil things from that figure drawing workshop. Trying to improve (as usual). I came to a realization on this one that I can darken the background OR lighten the figure to get the value scale I want. Interesting thought…
One more thing. I’m taking a creative writing class this semester. Writing is something that I don’t do very often (well, this blog aside), but I figured I should start getting better with it – maybe even start writing my own stories. Anyhow, I wrote a short story for it. I’m not sure, really what to say about it. It’s called “Free Hugs”, it’s about 6 double-spaced pages, and it’s a pretty easy read. This is the first draft, so any comments or criticisms are of course welcome. Anyhow. Let me know what you think.
